Umberleigh has all the usual village amenities including a junior school, the well known fisherman's Inn "The Rising Sun" and a railway station [halt] serviced by the Tarka country railway that meanders along the picturesque Taw valley from Exeter - Barnstaple [several trains a day]. The village is approximately 8 miles from the North Devon link road, providing speedy access to Junction 27 of the M5 motorway.
